An editorial publication exploring migration, identity, belonging and the experience of living between two cultures.
01 - The Brief
Create a publication that explores the experiences of Shona-speaking Zimbabweans living in South Africa through a personal story told from parent to child.
02 - The Strategy
The design draws on the feeling of a personal journal, using handcrafted ink typography, expressive layouts and a colour palette inspired by the South African and Zimbabwean flags.
03 - The Deliverables

04 - The Outcome
A tactile and expressive publication that visually reflects the imperfect, personal nature of the stories while guiding the reader through themes of migration, sacrifice, resilience and belonging.
